If you ask the Mayor, it definitely has NOTHING to do with him releasing 2,500 inmates for "Covid" earlier in the year.

Well old school NY hipsters, you wanted your "grit" back. Now you have it. Used to hang with you guys, now I have kids, and won't be going near the city for a long time with them. Made the mistake of going in to see what shape it was in back in September. The area around Penn Station is junkie and crazy central. Half naked men standing in the middle of 7th avenue, cops doing nothing. I'm expecting about 5 years of decay. Commercial real estate is going to fall off the face. Bad times ahead. Hey, at least you'll be able to score heroin and shoot up in the street!!

Its scary. Best to keep your back against something while waiting for a train. In this case the victim was caught off guard like the woman who got pushed, even though there was an altercation first.

Head on a swivel and back to a solid object while waiting is all one can do. Not a fun way to live or travel. But way to many crazies and criminals underground now. DeBlahsio said this morning there will be an increased police presence underground coming. He failed to mention the quick realase from jail, and the cycle just continuing anyway.

Response: Opinion

The new York Underground Mass Transit System is archaic and obsolete.
It attracts and embodies crimes of all sorts. It has bled the taxpayers for years.

Advice: Fill the hole with sand.

When I lived in Philadelphia, I once had the very unfortunate experience of hearing someone get smacked by the train pulling into the station. I didn't see it, but I very clearly heard the sound of flesh being punched by steel. The guy was a jumper, but that experience taught me to always stand in a defensible spot on the platform, preferably with my back to a wall.

How's that whole bail reform thing working out for ya?

Putting more cops down there just more guys collecting overtime. They need to get those guys OUT of the system and their hands are tied.

this is all because our laws are not strict enough because the two idiots that are running our city are two complete morons. also, the 2 idiots do not let the police do thier job, and how can they, when the fear that the leaders are not on thier side. cant blame them...

tweedle dum, and tweddle dumber thats what dbla and cuo are, bumbling idiots

I grew up in the 70's, and I feel like were not moving ahead, but going back in time. How sad, and tragic is this.

so everything Guilanni did to make the city safe or us is going back to square one.

of course letting all these criminals back out on the street was a complete terrible idea.
How many times do we hear of a person that committed a crime, only to hear he has a rap sheet 56 pages long.

is someone not getting something??? people like that are a menace to society and belong bars, NOT out on the street looking to harm hard working law abiding citizens.
hoe unfair to all of us.
