2 men killed when ATV collides with tractor trailer in Queens
LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens (WABC) -- Two men riding an ATV were killed when they collided with a tractor trailer in Queens early Friday. The men, both in their 30s, may have been traveling the wrong way when they collided with the 18 wheeler. It happened at Jackson Avenue and Queens Plaza South in Long Island City around 1:45 a.m. Friday.
Neither man appears to have been wearing a helmet. One was pronounced dead at the scene, the second later died at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Queens. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
The incident is under investigation by the NYPD's Force Investigation Division. Investigators are looking into whether the two men were actively fleeing police at the time of the crash. Jackson Avenue at the Ed Koch/59th Street Bridge was closed as the police investigation continued.

Those cops were placed on modified duty for chasing that atv, meaning they will get administrative charges and possibly get suspended. That’s why cops don’t bother with dirt bikes or atv’s. The bosses could make all the promises they want, but the vast majority of cops won’t risk their careers for a traffic infraction. They would be stupid to do so.
If you want to know why Police nowadays dont bother enforcing laws, this is why.
Criminals are no longer held accountable for their outcomes, only Police are.
Continue on NYC. Keep voting for politicians who support this. You have no leg to stand on when you cant sleep becasue 1000 ATV and bike riders are waking you up at 1am
Uh... No... It is mainly Latino people you see on them, Dominicans to be exact. Maybe that's where you are confused. Occasional Black, but mainly Latino.
This is why minorities become a laughingstock. They take the worst examples of us, put them in front of a camera to make fools of themselves then others watch and think we are all like this .
1. Riding ATV on NYC streets is illegal
2. They were riding without helmets
3. Going down the wrong way on the street
4. ATV was stolen
But its the cops fault the two lost their lives because they were *chasing them*.
We are also going to ignore the mural that was set up is all green and white candles, balloons, writing, etc which is Trinitarios gang colors.
So We absolutely know what the root cause of this is and whose accountable for their deaths but its easier to blame the NYPD who was doing their job of enforcing the law and not the ones who were breaking the law.
