And PLEASE stop with the "censorship" crap. Don't you know how many times we get to hear that same old tired line? Every third schmoe who gets something deleted sends us their "WAAAH, you are CENSORING MEEEE" DM. This is a privately-owned website with rules set by the owner. Censorship is not applicable.

This is off-topic, too. It can be deleted if one of the NYC mods so desires, and I won't whine about it.
Except it wasn’t off topic. The first poster gave a suggestion on who to avoid at the PABT and the second poster gave her opinion on it. You then rudely called it stupid all because you didn’t like it.

There may be some posts that should be deleted but those two posts were not. If you are going to comment, don’t try to then use your moderator privileges to threaten other posters when you personally disagree with them. That’s called abusing your privileges.

That didn't happen. I find it curious when people post things that everyone else can clearly see are not true by reading for themselves. What the heck is the point of doing that?

Anyway, I accidentally hit the rep comment and gave you one lmao.

I agree that a person should be aware of their surroundings and concerned for their safety at all times. I would not go down to a gate too long before my bus was scheduled. I thought all that goes without saying. Common sense, but no need to be terrified to travel.
Why did you quit PA? That’s a good job.

Yep, there are probably a good percentage of people who would just pay for the coffee in the hopes of not angering a crazy.

What caused you to leap to that conclusion?

SIX, actually! I didn't realize I was there already, lol.

But I started working at the PABT on the "Modernization" project back when they were adding on the North Wing and renovating the existing building. Now that is all falling apart, and they are going to build an entire new terminal. Way to feel old.

It really was worse back then. not that it's exactly great now, either. Transportation terminals attract the dregs of society. Junkies shooting up in the stairways, the neighborhood was all drug dealers and peep shows and triple-X movies ("Seven Into Snowy" on a marquee stands out in my mind). Show World across the street was filming porn on their upper floors. Our guys up on the steel of the north wing could see them through the windows. Pimps were hanging outside the terminal waiting for young girls coming in from the Midwest.

I was in a convenience store and heard a POP and came out to see the cops standing around somebody they had just shot on 42nd Street one afternoon. He had stabbed another guy, who took off running. One time two of our construction inspectors were out on the sidewalk when a guy came running past them. A few seconds later another guy came running past them carrying an ax, and then a cop running after him.

The cops were always fun. One night before Thanksgiving, two of our guys were working the night shift when they came across a dead homeless man in the stairs. They walked to the PAPD command and let them know. The cop started complaining that the time to complete the paperwork was going to run over into the next shift, and it was Thanksgiving and he wanted to go home.

An hour later, the same two inspectors went across Ninth Avenue to get some coffee, and there was the same dead guy laying on the sidewalk, but now he was in NYPD territory. An hour later, they saw him again, back in the bus terminal. I guess the day shift of wherever he ended up took care of the paperwork.

Good times.

Don't make out in the men's room. It could cost you 3 days in THE TOMBS.
