While it is constitutionally challenged, it worked spectacularly, even if it didn't generate a lot of arrests. It created a very high risk level for the criminal class. They knew if the were carrying guns or drugs on the street, they could gets patted down at any moment. This forced them to be much more discreet in there actions. This short circuited alot of street crime.

Did the program target working class folk or the ones with their pants falling down smoking a blunt on the street.

They used to stop and frisk me during that time period. It was in the subways and I am not black.

You want to know why they did not arrest me? Because I was not breaking any laws. I was not carrying a gun or drugs and I was not running from the law and not up to trouble. So they let me go every time.

It is difficult to comprehend for some people.

Now mothers with children are getting held up at gunpoint.

They don't even do this in third world countries. Jesus
Indeed.

“They don’t do this in third world countries†Oh heck yes they do. Look at the video of some of these incidents. The perpetrators are all covered up but it is clearly Latino gangsters that are probably fresh arrivals to NYC and the USA. You can just see it in them.

Are you absolutely serious about that how you think in third world gang lands they do not commit heinous crimes of this flavor? More is coming here because they are projecting that 200,000 new illegals will be arriving into the USA each month. (200,000 per month is their estimation)

I totally agree. Some have speculated that "defund the police" and BLM have more to do with protecting drug dealers than workaday citizens.

In NYC we value each persons life but in 3rd world garbage bins people just go missing. Whole families just go missing.

Life is not valued in the same way especially by big drug cartels. Which surprises me that NYC still has a good accountability system for individuals and even gang members while the bulk of gangs in our big cities have administrators of Latino cartels.

It is coming soon though. Remember 200,000 came here this month, 200,000 more next month, 200,000 more the following month. Many will come direct to NYC because they have families here and the underground job markets in NYC gives illegals so generously all of the advantages.

I believe that crime is up nationwide, so it's illogical to blame it on NYC policies.

No worries. It was reported your new mayor is asking Chicago Mayor Lori Lighthead to help him combat crime in New York! You are safe now

New York City, as effectively the capital of the U.S. in all respects but the seat of government, has a tectonic influence on the remainder of urban America.
