I will admit, that's one of the reasons why many people in NY mask up, or feel pressured to mask up... because too many people get upset when they see other people maskless and will actually take it upon themselves to tell people off about it. And yes, I do advocate for people to wear a mask, but I don't think it's right for people to tell other people to put on a mask. Each establishment has the right to make its own rules. If Rite Aid is allowing masks to be optional, people have no right to walk into Rite Aid and tell people shopping there to put on a mask. That's just not right. If people have an issue with the rules at certain establishment, take it up with the manager who makes up the rules instead of lashing out at every customer on sight.

I will apologize if I somehow gave the impression that I was telling you what to do or somehow demanding you to wear a mask. I was simply advocating for it or merely "asking," but I have no authority to tell you what to do. Heck, there are a number of things in human behavior (other than mask wearing) that I wish people would improve upon, but I have no authority over other people and will not demand other people to act a certain way. I would mind my own business the same way I would want them to mind their own business about me.

Having said that, my current behavior about wearing masks is no longer up for debate, the same way your "no mask" stance is not up for debate. I will continue to wear a mask until the pandemic is behind us. You're right, Covid will not be eradicated, but the pandemic phase of it will go away eventually. Same with the Spanish flu. Influenza was never eradicated, but the pandemic phase of it was. We got through that pandemic, so we'll get through this one. I do believe we are getting pretty close to the endemic phase, so I probably anticipate that I can hopefully shed the mask completely within the next year or two. I don't know exactly when as I'm not psychic, but if things continue in the right direction, it might be sooner than I expected. But we'll see. Only time will tell.

4+ years of mask-wearing. Wow. Like wow.

Good luck to you.

I can see why you would get approached indoors. Common courtesy applies.

You don’t have to care about what I think, you know what the truth is within urself

Common courtesy? You mean I should wear a mask so that others can feel safe? Bizarre.

I guess I should open my umbrella over my body so that you don’t get wet across the street when it rains.

Again, if they want to wear a mask then they should. I don’t want to. They should mind their own business. If they feel uncomfortable around me while I’m maskless, then they should do whatever it is they have to do to feel better about it (cross the street, don’t get in the elevator with me, etc.). I’m not going to restructure my life due to their feelings. Sorry. That’s just the way life works my friend.

Thats the way society is supposed to work

We are supposed to be mindful of others

How is me not wearing a mask affecting you? I’m confused. You are free to not stand next to me. Why aren’t you mindful of my rights to do what I want with my own body?

I went to the Belmont Stakes yesterday.

50,000 people in attendance... and maybe only 15 MASKS were being worn

I don't have any idea how I SURVIVED such a nightmare!

So lucky to be ALIVE today

I don't know. You seem to be throwing a hissy fit just because *I* choose to wear a mask.

You really need to grow up. You have gone off the deep end all because of a "face mask" discussion. I've already tried make my amends by apologizing and then agreeing to disagree, and you're STILL flipping out over a petty subject. Get over it already! Or don't. I don't care anymore....
