On the ground floor of the Em,p[ire State Building there was a chain restaurant of the variety of Steak and Brew, or Beef qand Ale or something like that, possibly the one that famously advertised "all the beer, wine or Sangria you could drink"
My friend and I could not remember the specifics. It didn't last too many years before the whole chain went bust.
Can anyone refresh my memory? I cannot Google any worthwhile info. Any snippets of information appreciated.
I think there was a Houlihan's. If not, then Bennigan's.
The only reason I remember this is because I had a beer there once, maybe in the 80s, but up until 2018, despite the fact that I worked in the city since 1979, it was the only time I was ever in the ESB.
I followed up on the leads you guys gave me and it looks like MightyQueen wins the blue ribbon with HOULIHAN'S which closed up shop in the Empire State Building in 2003 after 20 years there.

Thank you my Queen.
You are welcome. Thanks for confirming that some of my brain cells escaped some bad habits from those days.
