My first instinct would have been to ask the same question but that would be a
terrible distraction from the fact that a crime was committed.

Would we feel different if he was held up for his $17,000 dollar car ?
Would it make less or more of an impact if he was on his way to donate this money to a child cancer center?

We can attach an emotion to this crime.............
No one has the right to steal from another person.

These hood rats will be caught. There are wonderful details available on Crime Stoppers.

I posted this in anther thread.

If you look at the NYPD data, crimes are much lower today, than they were 10-20 years ago.

There are more mentally ill on the subway, it seems. The pandemic pushed more people into homelessness too, I think.

According to the facts--some select categories from 7 major felony offenses:

Murder & Manslaughter:
the year 2000 - 673
the year 2010 - 536

the year 2021 - 488

Rape:
the year 2000 - 2068
the year 2010 - 1373

Funny how different it can look just based on how the media spins it and gullible Americans (which is like most people) drink it all up.
This is the problem...Right here~!
COWARDLINESS is a disease that spreads. Its the close cousin of FEAR. The enemy is few in number, but has a Big Roar. ____The ppl who voted them in, are few in number too...

IF you stage a protest its unlikely you'll be labeled anything but Protestors... (unless you protest with a Radical Hate Group).

You're worried about being Labeled from Leftoids that want to destroy your life, your culture, your career and your family. AND they want to do the same to YOUR FRIENDS~!

WHY worry about what your enemy thinks?

Politicians are holding back laws that keeps the average citizen from arming himself while allowing criminals to carry on
with business as usual.
The Democratic New York City Policies have sided to protect the criminal and ignore the victim.

We the people, need to become creative in building a defense system against these animals run amok.
We can start by voting come November.
Our city has failed us.
WE ARE ON OUR OWN.....
The Police are hourly paid employee. They make no more money doing extra. The smart ones have now acquired a business mind and RISK-Reward mentality. There is no extra award for anything. Yes you the Public will suffer. Learn self defence and get in shape, fight back or you will be a victim too.

I worked for Bears and Stearns in the early 80's. NYC sucked then and it still bites.

Maybe this explains it:

Where has $850m gone? Bill de Blasio's wife can't account for staggering amount of taxpayer money that the NY Mayor gave her for mental health project

I have seen this cherry picking hogwash many times before.
Down compared to 20 years ago but mostly up when compared to the year prior. That is an upward trend .....not good.
What is also missing form the data is a non existent police force and nearly dead data entry, the brutality of the crime,
the permanent maiming( vegetative state of victims) and the eventual loss of the victim's life. What was a simple mugging
is now a mugging with additional bad intention.........kicking you in the face until your brains spill onto the street.... Lovely.
As far as the mentally ill? A mentally ill person who commits a crime is a criminal. Plain and simple. Blind Justice.

Quality of life has nose dived. 1 million people have left the city for good and quality replacement not matched.

Not just 1 million ordinary people. 1 million tax paying contributing members of society.
A powerhouse of a labor force. Many even taking N.Y.C. pensions to other states to spend
rather than feeding it back into the system of origin.

The millions that left being replaced by ( in part /time will tell ) those dependent on the city for food and shelter
and lacking the necessary skills to contribute in a workforce that N.Y.C. demands to keep it up and running.

No Job. No food. Crime Rises. Emotions Flare. ....................The haves vs the have nots until the haves finally leave.
Welcome to California, welcome to Chicago, welcome to N.Y.C. and all other Democratic run cities.
Nuff said..

It is a sad day when city policy fails to support it's men and women in blue.
The city sucked back in the 70's-80's beautified by Giuliani in the 90's and returned to same old
70's and 80's under Bill and Eric.................
