^ Money not only runs out but its worth becomes less and less when it’s given out free.

Your average person (and apparently Democrat politicians) do not seem to understand this: money is just the value of goods and services produced. When money is given out without goods or services produced or exchanged, then its worth is devalued, hence you have inflation.

For example, Leftists talk about wealth redistribution so let’s use the most simple example we can think of: take all the money from the 1% and redistribute it evenly to every man, woman and child in the other 99%.

Let’s say that redistributed amount is $1M so everyone now has $1M. Do Leftists think that all of a sudden, economic problems will be gone? If everyone has $1M, that $1M will be worthless. No one will work. Nothing gets produced. Everything comes to a screeching halt.

People are stupid and unfortunately for the future of the human race, the stupidest are reproducing the most / fastest and will be voting for the Left and their socialism. Scary isn’t it?

The problem is we chose politicians who set the budget.

Set the budget, then let the politician manage how they best will.

Of course some political parties look better on paper, the spending is much higher so more is getting done.
The debt needs to be serviced at one point- and leaving the next politician to pick up that tab is silly.

Imagine if you sold your home and moved, and the person who moved in inherited your credit card debt?

Bottom line is people don't care, they don't care at all. They aren't involved in politics and don't think too much about any issue. All they care about is getting whatever they can.

When times get hard and all of a sudden they can't get a job and the government check doesn't buy too many $12 loafs of bread, that's when they're going to start asking questions and taking things seriously

“Hard times create strong men.
Strong men create good times.
Good times create weak men.
And, weak men create hard times.”

The only way to entice landlords to take high risk tenants would be to give landlords a guarantee that they can get them out timely if they are a problem or don’t pay. And get paid for the time that they are in their property. That ain’t happening in NYC.

The welfare state, ladies and gentleman. "They can just keep on printing it".

If they can just "keep on printing", why has the Federal Reserve gone from zero to 4% in only 6 months?

You can print but you can't print forever. The piper always needs to be paid.

This is the mentality that the welfare state breeds. People literally think that politicians create value in society by handing out taxpayer money.

You literally think "they can just keep printing". If that's not the wlefare state mentality (especially in NYC), then I don't know what is. Money is simply a representation of value. You can't create value if its not actually there.
