There are talks for prerequisites for future construction in the city and affordable housing .
Here's the catch.
Force developers to set aside construction for the houseless in order to be granted building permits
but not on their building sites.
In other words ,we build here for those with money and build there (elsewhere) for those without money.
And elsewhere is your middle class neighborhood and mine!
Well , if that is the avenue the city wishes to navigate without any say by the communities at risk
then it is only fair that the houseless being forcefully welcomed into our neighborhoods come without criminal records.
and the better question..............
Why won't developers incorporate affordable housing right into their future construction plans
rather than sending construction for the houseless into some one elses' neighborhood ?
Hmmmmmmm? It always was and always will be............... all about the money.
It sounds like you are advocating for "those with money" to be forced to pay for an additional home for "the houseless" but in other neighborhoods?
It’s impossible to not pay taxes. If they’re not paying taxes by filing, they’re paying them at the stores, restaurants and for other services.
With this being said, are welfare checks taxed? How does that really work?
Leave it to lefties to defend welfare leeches by claiming they're just as beneficial as skilled Lockheed employees, and then, admit they actually don't even know how welfare works
I love how red states are building a whole city with their their revenue while the high tax dem states cant even fix a stop sign. When was the last time a new highway or bridge was built or a lane was added?
This topic isnt worth debating. Hope a meteor hits manhattan center on. a big one too so water can fill its place.
Floridians for ex, pay 0% in state tax while DeSantis is building a whole city, while you paid 40k a year to Cuomo for renaming the Tappanzee. There is one thing I love about this place. If you tell Floridians there is a hurricane is coming, at least some will evac. If you tell people here that, they will still be in the subway drinking their starbucks coffee. Head in grass. No point debating.
Shhh, don't trigger the diehard liberal NYers who gleefully say living in a money pit with crumbling infrastructure is what makes this place so specialâ„¢
Actually this is correct. A relative works in a welfare office and I hear all the stories how generations are on welfare.
Kill welfare, let garbage wash away and things will get a lot better for the middle class.
But wait, no one cares about the middle class.
Before my son bought his auto business , he was a welfare investigator….the stories he had were just insane
