Many Americans ate squirrel regularly as part of their diet. More recently the Vietnamese Hmong immigrants hunt and consume squirrel so much some states have had to alter their season. Lol who would think you could shoot and eat too many squirrel?!?

Urban rats and pigeons are ridden with diseases and usually not healthy to eat. I'm sure Kefir looks down on poor people that eat roadkill, though.

I ate horse meat in Italy. It was ... salty.

I also tried camel once in a Greek joint in Astoria. Very smokey/gamey- not to my liking.

Rat? Forget it.

Most Americans wouldn’t be able to tell if it’s chicken or pork. If it’s grilled and well seasoned.

Jackson heights and corona under the 7 train is where all the South American food vendors cluster. I imagine Fordham road in the Bronx or Flatbush avenue for Africans.
