Well, DD is hardly known for wonderful bagels, either. In fact, DD and TH are pretty comparable. Meh coffee, lots of sugary stuff and other baked goods. TH has good soup and a couple of good sandwiches. Not sure about DD's other products. Haven't been in one in years.

But both are mass-produced stuff. Neither can compete with a good homemade bagel shop.

1. Dino BBQ in Brooklyn
2. Williamsburg, Brooklyn (forget its name) but an excellent Mac N Cheese Pizza outdoor counter pickup on Bedford Ave for only $5
3. Brisas Del Mar (excellent Dominican food) in Rockaway Beach
4. You all may laugh, but I also really love DIG (we dont have them in NJ)
5. Wo Hop Chinese Restaurant in Chinatown
6. The cheese fries at Coyote Ugly (yes, I kid you not...but they taste so good....they must air fry the cheese on top of these thick fries, but I always order it whenever I go there)
7. The meatlovers pizza at the 99 cents pizza place on 9th Ave near Port Auth. In my opinion, theirs is better than any other spot I tried.

Panera sucks! But Dino is best I ever had in NYC. Taste of Heaven in Brooklyn is only other one that comes close in my opinion. Name a spot better than Dino and don't say Dallas BBQ.

Dallas BBQ is horrible. I couldn't understand for the life of me why they were so packed.

Yeah, they used to be better...but last time I was there, everything was just dry and smaller portions.

You can find TH all over the northern US states, such as MN, MI, WA. They are not known for bagels. I think that is a more recent addition to the menu. They are/were known for their donuts and coffee. Like DD, they are a franchise so the quality can depend on the franchisee management. The ones that I've been to in Vermont and MI seemed a step higher in service and quality than our local DD. But that's not saying much.

If it’s the same Dinosaur BBQ I had on upper east side years ago then im not impressed. Dallas sucks. Obviously.

I don’t got to Brooklyn often anymore. But in LIC my spot is John brown.
On LI it’s Old Fields bbq.

When I have time I smoke my own ribs and brisket. Comes out great.

Been to Fette Sau?
