No they don’t. Biden smoked Trump in the last election on both the popular and electoral votes. If Biden wasn’t so well liked, then Trump should have won a second term. And right now, Trump is being attacked rigorously because most people want him gone for good and don’t want him to run again.
No its the actual number of votes counted that decides an election.. Assuming everything is on the up and up........ a candidate can be well liked however if that persons backers dont vote then they cant win, regardless of how well they are liked.
We're getting off topic. You wouldn't want this thread to be CLOSED, now would you?
Ok, back to the topic, I'm going to try to explain this better and hopefully, you guys will start understanding where I'm coming from.
When Covid ambushed us in 2019, this virus spread at a rapid pace. And a lot of that spreading was due to people walking around asymptomatically and unknowingly spreading it. And while person A may be asymptomatic, this person spreads it to person B who is vulnerable and dies from the virus. And that vulnerable person could be your mother or grandma! So congratulations, you just killed your mother/grandma! Hence the beginning of wearing masks, social distancing and staying at home.
The problem with Covid is that many people don't know they have it. So while you may feel fine, you could have the virus, be a carrier and not know it. Not to mention that people have caught the virus and/or gotten vaccinated and still continue to catch Covid over and over again. People just don't seem to gain immunity to this virus. So going around maskless thinking you're superman just because you got vaccinated or were naturally infected is just silly!
And ok, while the virus MAY be weaker today than it was in 2019, vulnerable people are still dying from the virus. So while you may think you're healthy and all, you can still be responsible for passing onto the virus to that person next to you on the subway or to your loved ones.
This is why I can't stress enough the importance of remaining vigilant.
