Hello everyone, I started this thread almost 2 years ago and thanks for the replies.
I moved to Jersey City, then Greenpoint, BK where my wife joined me. Now, we live in Astoria. No problems besides the occasional look. Most of the looks came from other females which probably were trying to get a rise out of my wife. Single men, there seem to be a lot of single women out there, so many that many love hitting on married men in front of their wives, ha.
Why on earth would you think there would be?
Who cares?
If people have a problem---well---tough *****-
I'm black--and my wife is white and we live in lower Manhattan.
I DOUBLE dare anybody to say ANYTHING to me or her.
Some people care. And let's not pretend people don't (and by people, I mean people who're actually in IRs too).
I thought the question was a legitimate one, although if there is anywhere you should feel comfortable IR dating, it's NY. Although people tend to stereotype southerners as being intolerant when, depending on where you are in the south, people seem equally as accepting if nor more so.
Queens-Bellerose, Floral Park, Glen Oaks all should be fine!
