No one said that the metro was crime ridden, for the 9th time. I said the cities Upstate are. Its not a hard concept to grasp.
So, what is your point, as you had an issue with me mentioning that the point about the metro crime rate in the first place? Urban crime doesn't occur in a vacuum either.

No, it occurs in the city . That's my point. The bigger cities are overwhelmingly unsafe Upstate.

Again, it really isn't a hard concept to grasp what I'm saying.

Again, it depends on the part of town and a person's activity, just like any other city. Sorry, but that is a fact as well.

What percent of Syracuse and Rochester are considered safe?

Why don't you take your own advice?

Here is another area of the city that is pretty nice as well and I like how when you drive eastbound on Riverside, as you get onto the bridge over the Chenango River, the city skyline and the hills behind it kind of "hit you in the face", in a sense: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=bingh...87.22,,0,11.81

I think I found the best street in Binghamton:

Looking at the actual downtown itself.

These buildings are for registered sex offenders housing in Binghamton NY. Its basically right downtown, one street off the main thoroughfare. I'm not going to argue with anyone, I'm simply showing this as a fact and I realize that sexual offenders are in every city but the concentration here is very high. Like I said before, its not a super appealing city and I'm not going to argue that point. The Binghamton metro is probably fine, Tioga County is included in that metro and has super low crime rates.

If you want to call me names, that's fine. Its not going to change my opinion. There's plenty of nice areas in Upstate NY but Binghamton city isn't one of them.

More Downtown:

http://goo.gl/maps/2eabl

This association lists activities that occur there: Welcome -The Gorgeous Washington street Association

There is also AHL Hockey, an opera, an orchestra, minor league baseball, a couple of museums and other events there as well.

While Binghamton has its rough areas, Broome County has plenty of safe and fine areas that can work as well. So, you don't have to go very far to find that in the area. Vestal is probably the best choice and has the most affluent neighborhoods in the area.

Also, flooding in recent years has probably hurt some of the infrastructure in the area.
