We'll see, as you never know how people will vote.
It would be a pleasant and welcomed surprise if she got the boot. But I’m not holding my breath on that.
She’s polling well. Especially among communists, I mean democrats, and they have the vote nailed so…
It goes beyond just one election, as in local elections, people may vote differently. That was my point, as there are plenty of Republicans across the state, including Downstate, that are in elected positions at the county to very local levels.
This is a blue state, the majority votes Democratic, no matter how terrible they are.
Yup. Sadly the number of registered jagoffs in NYC far outnumber the rest of the entire population of NYS.
Which is pretty messed up because NY by landmass, is pretty red. It’s that stupid cesspool island that ruins it for the entire state. NY needs to be divided. Period.
Or, we round up the cidiots and put them in detainment camps before shipping them off to California.

If anything, NY outside of NYC would be a “swing state”, as people aren’t too far either way.
I would say it would have to be someone who can clearly and concisely identify our problems, and what is needed to solve them. Even with that said, I think many live in some fantasy world where the money never ends, or is a concern, or, it is always someone else's at fault, so it will still be an uphill battle.
That isn't exclusive to one party though. I think the state just needs someone to execute a plan that deals with the different parts of the state appropriately. Even within that, what is needed within a city in a region likely will be different from what is needed in the suburbs or rural/small town areas. That is why it isn't as simple as Upstate/Downstate, because even within Upstate, you have urban areas with different concerns than those in rural areas that might feel a need to separate and even if that were the case, you still have legitimate urban areas, with particular issues that have to be addressed. So, it is going to take more than just a change in terms of the party affiliation of the governor or other political leadership positions.
Great points. Lost cause.
Hochul will win. At best, might be close like Jersey, but win she will.
