Here is another historical documentary from 1965 titled, “The Second Summer” also by National Educational Television(now PBS) about the 1964 riots in Harlem(the first 60%) and Rochester(the other 40%). It has footage of conditions, people in leadership, etc. This ironically shows how things really were during that time, which has been mentioned on this forum in other threads.
I did find a part of the Rochester portion interesting when one of the leading women in Rochester’s black community mentioned how she was born in Brighton, which also illustrates that black people did live elsewhere in the area in the late 19th/early 20th century and didn’t just migrate to the inner city, as always noted. It also shows how towns can change over the years from a resident standpoint.
