Default good and bad schools

Monroe Woodbury is one of the best school districts in New York. also Warwick is a good school and nice town. Avoid Wasingtonville schools, Middletown and Newburgh schools. goodluck in your search

Default Nice Town

If you want to be in Orange County there is only one town to consider and that is Warwick. I bought here three years ago after looking for two years. We wanted a small town with that small town feeling of years ago. A small town community ‘caring’ with an open-minded attitude, we found it here. The area is more conservative with the village a bit more liberal in their political views. The schools are good. If you locate in the village you can walk to the 'Park Avenue' elementary school. The village is surrounded with three wineries, apple orchards and Dairy farms. After living in the west village of Manhattan then a farm in Delaware County, NY then on the coast of Maine in Camden. I have lived in some beautiful places and Warwick is one of them.

Warwick is beautiful and our clients react well to the area and other details but if you are commuting you will want to assess your options because homeowners in the area tell me that it's a 1.5 hour commute into the city and there is no major interstate or train that picks up in that area. I think part of the reason that Warwick maintains a small town feel is their close proximity to the city yet it's still not a commuter haven because the transit options just aren't there.

Default East Fishkill - Dutchess County is a great place to live...

We live in the Carmel school district and it's excellent! Why not look at Dutchess County too!

Both Orange and Dutchess Counties are running close in terms of housing costs. Depends too on where you'll have jobs. One thing about Orange is that Rt.17 is a raceway and clogged in the morning with commuters. You have to check out school systems in both areas. Try and stay away from the Wappingers School District-over crowding and low tests scores at the Junior High levels.

We are in Orange county....Montgomery...its a small town with lower taxes than most of Orange. Good schools and great family oriented town. Easy access to major highways and you can have a cpl acres and be 2 miles from major shoping.

Hi I am thinking of moving to Minisink. What type of community programs or recreation programs does Minisink have?
