Long before Facebook was a glimmer in Mark Zuckerberg's eye and before the widespread adoption of DVRs and interactive cable guides, there was channel surfing. The cable company offered the local community a small handful of stations on which messages of interest were broadcast. I remember channel surfing as a kid/teen and coming across high school reunion messages where it said: (Whatever) high school class of (whatever) is looking for "long lost classmates." I have always found the phrase "long lost..." to conjure up some degree of mystery. Since there multiple facets that contribute to people drifting apart, what criteria would you include to identify someone as long lost?
