Well said, I agree that's the best approach. But full disclosure: even making general social plans for the next night makes me uneasy. Hard to explain, it's just how I'm wired.

I'm in between... I can do planning and I can do **** it... spur of the moment stuff.

That being said lots of people have kids and job commitments and it makes it hard to be totally spontaneous....

I had an ex-friend who was like that. He had no problems cancelling out on me at the last minute (or not showing up at all) which is one reason he is in my past..

No problems for me to plan well in advance, especially since what I like to do mostly involves getting a ticket to an event.

That is why I left that other board.

It was just a question, srjth. You answered no and I am cool with that.

I do not understand what the big deal is to plan something.
As stated I don't mind doing things on a whim either.
