Yes, my family is also a mix of Korean, black, Irish white and native American Indian. My parents are white/Korean. Sibs married different and the extended family is a mini melting pot. It would be odd to have only one group here.
But, I must state when I go back to Korea to visit family it's not that often that you see a mixed group of friends unless they are all foreign. Otherwise, all the same. America is unique this way.
yes. I have one friend i met at the boston marathon, another at the new york city marathon - and some other friends i met at other races...
(removing attempts of humor).
I'm white. Live in East Asia. Wife is East Asian. Child is half of each of us.
Have always had friends of different races, despite growing up in a largely white small town. There were a few blacks in my hometown. My Father's business partner was one of them.
Race really isn't a big deal. Its culture that really separates us.
I have made friends of people of different races over my entire life - any race (however many "they" say there are now.) My experience has been that they haven't been permanent friendships.
I suppose that's not unusual or I would still be in touch with every friend I ever made and that would be a lot of people. In my life experience most of the people of other races have been transient, both in location and sentiment.
