Hey you're assuming grandma is old, lol. I have a step grandson who is 18 and I am 49. I would not like him to read to me
OP-Is there any way you can make the trip there for the holidays? I agree with spending some time with them individually.
And then
Food gifts and experiences. You might want to try Groupon for some deals on things like cooking classes, spas, cooking magazines etc.
I would continue to send birthday cards maybe with a special note inside.
