This was back in 2008. Some dude who's been claiming me as his woman grabbed me inappropriately inside a Subway when I was getting something to drink (I actually know this guy). I warned him the first time that I'd put hands on him if he did it again. Apparently that warning wasn't enough; he grabbed me inappropriately again, so I started punching him in the face. He had the nerve to start slapping me upside my head as I was beating on him, but he shouldn't have grabbed me in the first place. I don't play that [bleep].
I was 12 years old and a female principal chased me down the hall. She had one of the teachers grab me. This principal liners me against the wall, twisted my hand at the wrist, and slapped the you-know-what out of me. I tried to fight back; she grabbed my hands, pinned them up and snarled, "I'm stronger than you, baby!"
Another time, about a year later, I got into it with an older girl on the school bus. We had words, her fist formed. I punched her in the gut. She answered back with a shot to my mouth. Mind you, I was wearing braces at the time! Even bleeding profusely, I went flying over the bus seats after her, but the 6' 6" bus counselor caught me in midair.

The women have done well in this thread. The men, not so much. It's very possible that none of the 10 Yes votes so far refers to an incident a man had with a woman. I do think fewer men than women are around and that the type who physically hits women generally doesn't last long on the site, but still I'd cut off my hand with a butter knife before I believe 0% for men is accurate. C'mon, it's just an anonymous poll, publicly confessing isn't required.
I got this idea from another thread and a long-ago personal memory it jogged in me. I then searched inside and outside the forum, but all I found was focused on childhood and without a poll. I'm talking childhood and adulthood, and I've made a poll because some people might be embarrassed. [Drat, already messed up the poll, failing to distinguish between childhood and adult incidents]
"Mutual" means people deliberately physically aggressing against each other. Only mutual physical contact counts (not swinging and missing). Spitting and restraint don't count. Yes, domestic violence counts. Fighting with police counts. Planned boxing sparring counts.
Anyone is welcome to recount. If adult incidents, I'd like to know who got physical first, the outcome, and if substances or mental health problems were involved. Also, basically strangers or not? If any law enforcement people are around, I'm sure many wild stories could be shared.

I am kind of at a loss for words here. On both counts.
In university, I joined a combat sport oriented class. It was similar to kickboxing, but with one of those funky names, and very little kicking. I knew one person in the class. We tended to lair up, if and when it was probably edible. However, it became apparent that variety in sparring partner was important. So, I had occasion to spar with women. There may have been more than one instances, but I no longer recall. Nonetheless, it is one instance that remains memory. She was quick and speedy, whereas I had power and destructive striking. I held back. ILikewise, in the instances I threw a her face, I tended to purposefully telegraph so as not to hit her flush. She didn't share the same mercy. Lol.
I slapped a girl once (in her face) when I was around 22. It wasn't mutual though.
She was the gf of a guy in my circlye of friends. She complained that her cats misbehave and I said if she would feed them properly (she didn't) and clean their litterbox regularly (she didn't), the problem should be solved. She told me to shut up and that my two cats are fat and ugly. I slapped her in front of three other people.
Wow, remind me to never insult your cats!
