I'm in my late 20's and was named after my grandma. I have an "old lady" name, and I've always hated it. Other girls were "Megan" and "Amanda" and "Jessica," etc. My name's Linda. I have never liked it, but I've gotten more used to it now. Still not a fan.

Linda isn't that bad, it could be Ruth, or Margret or Henrietta, those are some real old lady names. LOL.
*Whew* It's a good thing my real name isn't Ruth. And yeah, Linda isn't bad at all. Life could be so much worse. When she said she was named after her grandmother, I was bracing myself for something like "Mabel" or "Lucinda", or "Brunhilda".
If I ask for someone's honest opinion on something "does this look bad, is this a bad idea," etc...I would appreciate the honesty. But pushing your opinion where it wasn't asked for is just rude.

I always thought the name Linda was pretty. Besides, in Spanish it literally means "pretty" or "beautiful."

lol! I remember that. (Sorry, Ruth, but you did say it wasn't your real name. )

It's such a relief that using Biblical names is no longer a thing. Thank heaven most people have moved on. "Rachel" was another one that grated on me. Strange that it was kinda popular on "Friends". Ugh.
