I'd say Southern California, but you've probably lived in the midwest too..maybe some time in Tennessee. Maybe military--so moved around a lot and never really found your place.
All good guesses. But the place where I came from is much farther east than anything posted so far. Not at all as far as somewhere like Papua New Guinea, but I should would come close to being hard to spot among the native people there.

So much further east than the Northeastern United States, but not as far east as Papua New Guinea... So somewhere in Europe, Asia, or Africa?
