Wish I talked to you earlier.

We had it down to Cherry Grove (Parkview Elem - MGSD) and Morrison Plantation (Lake Norman Elem - ISS). We used greatschools ratings and feedback from couples in the area to end up at Morrison Plantation. One of the bigger factors was the High School ratings... MGSD seems to lose the battle at that level. This may or may not be confirmed by your choice to home school over MGSD High School.

I just hate it when people stereo type others. Were all just people and some of us are rude and others are not. Just cause youre from somewhere dont make you "that way". I am still relocating in the spring and all the information you all can tell me would be greatly appreciated. And by the way, Im not rude and neither are my children. Theres no sense in it. Just live and let live.

Sugarcandy - I'm not sure about the demand but here are some good early childhood resources.

Default New industry to Statesville!

Doosan will be moving its operations from Mocksville to Statesville in 2008. For those who don't know, Doosan is the company that bought the road construction equipment business from Ingersoll Rand (next time you pass a highway construction site, check out the names on the tractors, rollers, etc.). They are moving into the Dana complex at I77 & I 40.

hello loves could not have said it better myself. sad to say many "christian" perpertrators throughout the world whereever you go. I have had the priviledge as an evangelical christian to work currently as the charge nurse caring for catholic nuns who have never been supported by the vatican and worked hard and served their entire lives. God knows evrybodies heart no matter what relious brush people attempt to paint them selves with. Actually I wanted to move to NC for the "larger" christian population but if that persons outburst is any indication it's in a sad state of affairs. I'll pray for God to do a mighty work in that persons heart and to tame their serpeant tongue.

It is very sad that you are not proud of who and what you are that you feel the need to put others down. It is disgraceful that people like you think they can be “evil” to their fellow man during the week and be absolved of that behavior by attending church services on Sunday. A sense of God and good will to men is something you hold in you heart throughout the week and your life; it is a way of life. Not just something you claim to be because you attend church on Sunday. I am sick of people like you who try to justify their evil thoughts, nasty behavior and prejudicial attitudes in the guise of Christianity.
Shame on you.
You're right, Christianitly ain't all about just going to church, BUT if a person proclaims to be a christain, they are, no matter what they do or say. We all have our own problems. The purpose of being a christain, is not only going to church, but also having a relationship with God. Being Christ-like is so important, because if a person claims to be a christain, they also have to represent a good image of God to sinners to show them that He is the only way. I lived in Troutman all my life, and I can say, that it's a positive for grow coming to the south. A long to ago Troutman didn't even have a food lion, but they came a long way.

I would have to agree with the post about Troutman. I have lived here almost all of my life and it is the best little town that I know of anywhere! Friendly people. It is starting to grow, but there is still the small town atmosphere.
