I wanted to try my luck railfanning in Charlotte. It turned out to be a good day!
I made the two hour drive getting there before sunrise...



First train of the day was an Intermodal *sigh*



I needed a southbound train for this shot but almost everything I shot was a northbound.
I figured I may as well get one of them for the heck of it. Of course it was an Intermodal
train as well.



Killing time between trains...



Finally, a southbound train so I could get the shot I wanted and it was a rock train and not an Intermodal!

We take the kids to Tweetsie Railroad nearly every weekend, a trip isnt complete without getting a shot of the train outside of the "park"

I did some light raifanning in Charlotte yesterday. We saw two trains on the ride up on the Blue Line extension. We crossed over the head end of a CSX train on their line and then passed an NS train that was heading southbound. This shot was taken at the JW Clay Boulevard station.
