Know anything about the huge building that you can see from I-40 near Burlington with "FABRIC OUTLET" sign hanging from the roof?
I believe that it used to be a textile plant, so I'm interested in finding out what kind of fabric they're selling.
Here's to hoping the husband will be willing to stop next time we travel through Burlington
Don't know about that one, but if you are ever driving I-85 south of Charlotte, check out Mary Jo's Cloth Store in Gastonia. It's huge. They have a web site too; you can Google it.

Waverly, silks, faux silks, upholstery, traditional & modern arranged by color, a kids area with a video machine that they will set up for the kids while you shop, they let you cut unlimited samples "dollar bill" size, $12.99 a yard seemed to be the most prevalent price but some above and below--worth a stop!

Gastonia/Mary Jo's is west of Charlotte. Have worn out my plastic in there many times!
I was wondering the same. I see it when traveling between Asheville and Raleigh but never got the chance to stop due to having my dog with me. Its good to know that $12 a yard is the price. Thanks for posting that. Think I'll skip it in that case.
I have heard about the gastonia one from several people though and since my new route will be from Greenville Sc to Raleigh I might have to check it out.
