NDGal - Where in the south did you move from and are you originally from ND? How long have you've been there now? Just wondering if it's working out

Hi dadbud:
We have lived here for 15 years, actually born/raised in Texas/NM. This is a good place to raise a family, the schools are pretty good here. The only gripe I really have is the winters, they are long. The snow doesn't really bother me too much, it's the below zero temps that I don't care for, it does take some getting used to. I see you like hunting and fishing, you will really love ND..deer aplenty and some good lakes for fishing. Lake Sakakawea isn't too far from Bismarck, and it's HUGE. The summers are really nice here, not too awful hot.

If you are moving to ND you would be better off in Bismarck right now then in Minot. There is a shortage of rental housing available and what is available is quite high in price, surrounding communities have the same problem. You may want to look at this article before you make a decision.
