Thomas....I hope you still apply at construction positions, w/ your experience you could be making a lot more than 10 an hr. Read rickydink63 threads/updates. I believe Minot is a bit more accommodating regarding living situations for construction workers, as they don't have the exact same extrmemes as Williston imo

fixallman, Curious....a recent poster that had applied at a mancamp co. said she was to be forced to sign a non-competition clause, and that she was not going to be allowed to leave the site for the whole 3 weeks she was on duty...even off duty hours. Are you locked into something like that w/ Target??

I did not have to sign any none compete contract.and you do get 3 meals per day (hot) ,those you use your employee card for, they also have a kinda mini buffetthat you can go to as much as you want.

reguarding travel off the camps, target has 3-4 camps with vans that run day/night shift back and forth, even thou I do maint. work, they have me drive too,if you are going somewhere that is on that route I would say no problem.BUT I do plan on getting a car, because some camps do not have any vans after day shift ends

the largest target camp is on rt. 2 ,its like 3 camps side by side, theres a general store,so there is less need to go anywhere.everyone is overly tired, over worked, turnover is very high, alot of people quit after a couple of weeks,or never return from there 2 week vacation- 6wk on -2wk off
there are jobs that pay more than 10.00 hr.within target, just depends what kind of work exp. you have, but you work 84 hours per week= 44 hr overtime +room +meals +fitness room.I would have to say reguarding the housekeeping jobs, unless you love to clean,do laundry and sleep very little,STAY AWAY,kitchen and maint jobs are much less stressful and not as brutal to your back and legs.

My plan has aways been to take this job as a base to operate from,room/board/paycheck.if it pans out, ok,but I am planning to seek better offers, just in case
