My private hauler picks up the recyclables for free..... single stream. They get paid for them.

There is a small chance that the DEP will not approve this move to eliminate the plan: Pike County recycling program heads for trash bin; DEP says not so fast | PoconoRecord.com Apparently any changes in county recycling plans have to be approved by the DEP.

Out of curiosity; have other areas moved to 'single stream' pickup? Also; how does single stream work out for the counties that have switched?

They should have never went to single-stream. They should just go back to the old style where people have to sort out their recycling.
