Hi folks,
After purchasing a home in WLE last year, I've been searching for fun stuff for the kids to do in the area. I decided to take the info I collected and turn it into a website for people to get info on attractions around Lake Wallenpaupack.

Take a look: Fun at Lake Wallenpaupack

I'm sure I've missed some stuff in the area... I would love to hear some suggestions.

Thanks,
Trip

Here's a calendar of events from the local Chamber of Commerce that might include some additional activities:

Here's something else fun that I just found. This is a link to Lighthouse Harbor Marina in Greentown. Click on the webcam at the bottom for current weather conditions at the lake:

Hubby and I used to go to this drive-in when we were dating. We've been wanting to take the kids, just for nostalgic reasons. The only problem is that they start kind of late (after dark, of course), with the second movie starting around 10 pm. By the time it's over and we drive home, it's midnight or later. I did notice that "Ironman" is one of the movies this week, so we just might try it this weekend.

Oops, I guess not this weekend. I just rechecked and the first movie is "Prom Night". Definitely not for the kids!

The community calendar always has some local stuff. Community Calendar (http://community.boldgoldmedia.com/psa.htm - broken link)
My only comment on the site is that it isn't really 'lake wallenpaupack' focused, it's more general poconos

Awesome sites...thanks for the info everyone. Up here a little over a year and still a "newbie". Love having info come from all of you who've been around a lot longer. :-)

Poconosmama,
On the website, the cut-off distance for all of the activities is about 1 hour. My wife & I were only willing to drive about 1 hour away for most of the stuff we did with the kids. Thanks for the input.
