and i understand the use of vinegar to make meat more tender, i get it. kundla's bbq sauce is terrible, period.
I do agree with a part of your statements.

We ought a bottle of their sauce to take home, and I was disappointed with it. My homemade BBQ sauce is much better, and a lot cheaper.

But, the total package is - to my taste - very good. I really enjoyed the meats that they cook there, which I assume are made with the stuff that they bottle.

I live up the road a bit from the hideout. I have "heard" of break-ins and thefts within the community however I'm willing to bet they done by teens exporing their criminal side and in vacant homes. There is some crime reguardless of where you live but you cant let a few random bad apples spoil the lot. I personally love the area.

Also as to previous opinions of Kundla's sauce I know quite a few people (including myself) who would have to disagree. I actually perfer that style of sauce as opposed to a heavy "ketchup" style overpowering the meat. But hey, we're all entitled to our own opinions

Hi Everybody, thinking about moving this year permanently to The Hideout. We have 13 and 7 years old kids and we will like to get info about schools, hospitals, commute and crime. All the post that I've found are years old. We have been in The Hideout renting a couple of times so we know the amenities that the place offers. We are more interested in the day to day. How is the winter? How does the plowing work in The Hideout and neighboring areas? That sort of things.
Thanks

I'm a part-timer in the Hideout and will move there permanently myself later this year. I can comment on the plowing, as I was there through some of the worst snowfalls this winter. The Hideout community plows did a GREAT job of keeping the streets plowed. You are on your own for your driveway, but there are many private plows for hire if you prefer. The person I bought my house from paid a yearly fee to someone who plowed the driveway every time it snowed. I did it myself this year, but I'm lucky to have a pretty short driveway. I don't have kids, but they seem to have a good setup at the community school bus stops. Kids actually looked happy going to school!
