Large swaths of Northern Virginia's Black & Hispanic populations in Arlington and Alexandria have relocated to Woodbridge. Maybe this is where the ghetto moniker is coming from.

Sure, I went from the massive, awesome Thomas Jefferson Middle School to Woodbridge Middle, which was the size of TJ's gymnasium, but aside from the rinky dink middle school I don't think it's ghetto.

There's no crime here, unless you invite it, aka, leaving doors unlocked and valuables laying about.

The schools are good, not like Magnet school great but still good.

Best of all though, it's AFFORDABLE. Only issue I have it the lack of any decent public transportation, you NEED a car to get anywhere because Omni Link/Ride are garbage.

Not only do I think Woodbridge isn't ghetto, I like it more than Alexandria. Alexandria, outside of Old Town and particularly on the West End, has most of the issues Woodbridge has at a sharp markup. Alexandria and Woodbridge are more similar than people think trust me.

Woodbridge is probably the most ghetto place in NOVA. I used to go to metal shows at this bar called The Spotlight along Route 1 in the Potomac Plaza. It closed down in like 2003 because there were frequently stabbings and shootings there.

If you are driving down Route 1 from the North, Woodbridge is the first glimpse of the Southern culture you get to see. IMO Woodbridge looks like it belongs in Alabama or South Carolina, not in Prince William County.
