Our son is 5 years old and very active, we have him in judo during the week and on Saturday mornings. We have been looking around for some sort of sports activity (it doesn't really matter what kind) that has Sunday practices/competitions, but haven't been able to find anything just googling around.

It doesn't really matter what sport, just something that is active and burns energy. Preferably near Alexandria.

We live in 22310, in Alexandria off Franconia Road. I didn't see any Sunday activities through the local Rec Center or by googling around.

I am familiar with google and I did not see any Alexandria youth sports for 5 year olds that had activities on Sunday. Was there something that you might have seen that I missed?

My son used to play football (tackle) and had Sunday games all the time but I think you have to be at least 7 to participate and, of course, it's a fall sport so it won't help you for the summer. Other than that, I can't think of anything. Does your neighborhood have a pool you can join?

A Jewish sports league would generally be on Sundays since Saturday is their sabbath. Not sure if one exists. You could try the JCC in Annandale and see if they have one. They are open to anyone.

Might be a little far, but Southwestern Youth Association has flag football on Sundays. I think their season is wrapping up now, though. You might check the rest of their sports to see if something fits with your schedule. (I think you might run into issues with swim teams starting up for the summer.)

Most youth team sports have Sunday games. For example, youth club soccer, Little League, youth club football.
