There should be a lot of apartments near the Vienna metro stop. It's called Vienna but it's very close to Fairfax Circle. If you work in Eastern Fairfax (i.e., east of Chain Bridge Rd), it would be a 5-15 minute drive to your job. If you work in the vicinity of Fair Oaks, I would look for an apartment in Fairfax Corner which is a new walkable shopping district. Being across from the Fairfax County Government Center, it would probably be a good place to catch a bus to the subway system or to the Fair Oaks regional mall. It's also within walking distance to the giant Wegman's supermarket.

How about Fairfax Corner? Pretty nice area...walk to Wegman's (good grocery store). I think pretty accessable to Metro via Connector busses.
