Hey!

Can anyone recommend a nice hair salon in Woodbridge area? Some place where I can get highlights for a reasonable price. I had a terrible experience with Bubbles at Potomac Mills. It was way overpriced and the stylist I was assigned to had no idea what she was doing

Thanks!

I use Statements in Lake Ridge. In all of Woodbridge, I think they are one of the best salons. I see one of the senior stylists there so highlights are not "reasonable." However, they have many different levels of stylists and the junior stylist work closely with the senior ones. My DD sees some of the lower tiered stylists. I think they do a great job and they are very affordable.

I did not like bubbles at the mall either. They opened a new bubbles over by Wegmans...

By recommendation I used Statements and saw a senior stylist. The stylist was working on 2 other people at the same time as me and I got a cut and color, no hilights and walked out spending 160 bucks. I also had my brows done.

My cut was off and I had to have it fixed. I think had the stylist spent more time doing my hair and not everyone elses all at once, it may have been ok.

I will not go back there.

I'd love to know who you saw there (so I can avoid them!!!).

Bubbles in the mall is atrocious. I don't know how the one is by Wegman's--probably a bit better.

I had a very good stylist *many* years ago tell me that if I was ever in a bind that I could safely go to Bubbles because they hire new stylists from the better schools (Graham Webb). Many years ago, Bubbles was okay but I think they've gone down.

That said, my daughter and her friends used to go to a wonderful stylist at the Tyson's Corner Bubbles (I think her name was Sarah). I think within individual locations you can find some really good stylists.
