LOL just provide the kids with the love and care they need and they wont join gangs or move to a rich caucasian/asian neighborhood so your kids interact with no other races and grow up spoiled/snobby, try to get them into a charter or private school if you can afford it. Northern VA public school system is the most diverse so just make best of it as a parent. If anything, all schools should have metal detectors and tighter security to prevent the likes of any crazy person with mommy issues.

I am really tired of this assumption that a school is dangerous because a school is in a rough part of town that it's more "dangerous" than more affluent schools. Recent history has proven this theory wrong time and time again. Columbine is in a nice part of Denver, and Newtown is in a nice area of CT.
