I'm curious what others' heating/utility bills are looking like this month given the lower than average cold weather we've had. I realize this depends on a lot of factors such as the heating source, thermostat settings, size/type of house etc., but I'm curious what others are seeing if you feel like sharing. So, here's my info:

Heat pump
SFH - all electric home
Thermostat usually set between 68 and 72
Most recent electric bill for the 32 day period ending yesterday - $324

Definitely the highest bill I've seen since moving into this house last year, which I suppose is to be expected, especially since heat pumps lose efficiency when the weather gets as cold as it has been.

SFH, under 2k sf. I've already filled up my oil tank twice this year at $900 a pop. I'll have to fill it at least one more time this winter. My thermostat is set to 67.

I haven't gotten my bill yet for heating through these cold spells.

My gas bill for heating (gas stove, oven and hot water heater, too) during the month of December was $106.
2300sqft, 3 level TH. Thermostat set between 72 - 75 degrees.

Can't wait to see the bill for January.

I lived in Pittsburgh the last several years - which is much colder and snows a lot more - and I never had to pay this much for electricity in my life! 2 months in a row of ridiculous fees. Last month I thought it was the electric area heater I used for a few hours. But nope. This month, even higher. And I was gone 1 week for vacation haha!

I'm starting to think someone is using my electricity. I turned down the thermostat to 65F now and if that doesn't work, I'm investing in this and turning my heater off!

My wife deals with our online bill pay. I didn't ask her what it was and I don't want to know.
