I would just like to add people are what they choose to be, you can be happy or miserable anywhere and working yourself to death is not anything that resembles a quality of life. QOL comes with balance, good paying job, recreation and leisure, heathy habits, and a good nights sleep.

I wouldn't say I'm miserable , but I don't particularly like it here. Cities and dense suburbs are not my cup of tea at all, and anything else around here would require a long commute. I also don't care for the culture of the area. We're going to see if we can move further out to Loudoun or maybe somewhere in MD, but we're also looking for jobs elsewhere.

I couldn't live there but I would work there for the better money the region offers. Of course I live in Orange so a job up in Fairfax would be a heck of a drive, lol. I almost took a position in Chantilly.
