I will be taking a position in Reston, VA and am trying to find out the best place to move my family to. I have a Wife a couple of kids, so night life, restaurants etc are not a priority for me. Here are some of my guidelines:

Your budget will allow you the choice of many townhouses right in Reston - save time commuting and spend more time with the kids! This option fits #1-4 to a tee, but will most likely require you to compromise on #5. The good news is that Reston was designed to have common areas for all to enjoy. Oh wow, that is some great news! I'm fine with a small yard, just need a small place for a BBQ and some space for the kids to play. I'm glad to hear that there are plenty of common areas as well as child specific ones! Thank you for the help!
