Actually, weather forecasting everywhere has gotten very good. People still like to complain about it though.

You are right. I do notice that for the longest it did seem that every time a snowfall was predicted for the first few times during a season it never snowed.

There were some flurries on Friday morning. Not complaining though...still has come a LONG way.

They were calling for it. I heard it last night and this morning.

The weather is not linked into anyone's phone calendar. But forecasters had the "storm" of Friday, the 15th, down to a tee. Precipitation between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm, with accumulations of less than one inch and the worst hit folks being those in the east along the I-95 corridor.

Yep, I remember that one rather well. I made the decision to be political and attend a Christmas party that evening even though they had forecast it would do what it did. It took me 5 hours on the nose to get home. On the way home, I couldn't stop at a traffic light and ended up plowing right through it. Luckily there was no one else coming through the intersection.

I was let go from the job just a few months later anyways. Now if the weather is forecast to be that bad I will just give them a politically correct excuse as to why I can't attend.

They called for it earlier in the week and then they changed it to cloudy. Still seems like they call it and then retract at times. Repped anyways.
