Relocating and need serious advice. Have to be at work by 6:30 AM from front Royal. Is there the possibility of a bus or train? I can drive a part of the way but there is no parking available at my work, so I was thinking driving to Centreville and bussing from there? Any other ideas/suggestions? TIA.

I know there are commuter vans from Front Royal. VRE will require you driving into Manassas at the closest. I use neither so can't say which is best.

That’s quite a slog five days a week. Hopefully you can telecommute at least once a week.

Given that you have to be in Vienna by 6:30, I think the least painful option for you is simply to drive the whole way in. You’ll hit some congestion in Manassas along I-66, but you’ll be through the area before the worst of rush hour begins.

Relocating from where? This commute is not out of the question, but should be thought through before doing it for more than a few weeks. The toll on your psyche will be foremost, with tires, fuel and time coming in second. I'm from here (now retired) and make that run several times a month for an animal rescue. I get to pick the time of day but you won't.
Do your homework on rush hour trends and where the sun is in relation to your direction during the trip. 66 heads straight into the sun during evening rush and contributes to countless accidents and delays. You may think you have it figured out on Maps, but one crash or bridge repair will put you in a fowl mood for the evening. If you drink, you'll drink more!
You need to figure all this out before just jumping in with both feet.
Good luck!

Some of the brightest sun I have ever driven in. Good point.

That's not a commute that's hell. What time do you leave work? If it's after 3pm be ready for twice the time to get home especially during rush hour. Could be 1.5-2 hours. Move closer to Vienna. You might think oh this guy is exaggerating it can't be that bad. Nope, it is.

You'd have to catch an express bus to Tysons Corner from Gainesville or Manassas.

I’m not a Front Royal local or resident but I have read multiple times about the tension between locals/original residents and these commuting interlopers they are moving into “their” town. It doesn’t seem pleasant. Something to be aware of.

I heard there was no gun violence in FruntRole due to so many felons being prohibited from owning one.
