I've found that National Community Church is pretty cool. They have locations in movie theaters around the metro area. My wife and I attend the one in Ballston. Go to theaterchurch.com and see if it suits you.

I attend Emmaus UCC in Vienna Virginia. As a denomination, the United Church of Christ has a progressive theology. We believe that God is "still speaking" to us - the messages in the Bible are still relevant in our time. Individuals have the right and obligation to interpret this Word as it applies to each person's relationship with God.

Emmaus is accepting of diversity. Although our services are strongly rooted in the Christian tradition, we realize that other faiths can provide spiritual insight. We often have readings from non-Christian sources. We are also an "Open and Affirming" congregation, which means that we specifically welcome gays and lesbians, who often feel condemned by or excluded from other churches.

Emmaus United Church of Christ in Vienna is as Liberal as they come! It's a really sweet small community, but a mostly older small congregation.
