We are looking at a place on N Columbus St, across from Lubber Run Park. We have no children, are in our late 30s and I will commute to Pentagon. Anyone have any information on the commute (arrive at 7am and leave at 5pm)? Also, any info on the makeup of the neighborhood, safety etc would be great. Thanks.

That's a very easy commute to the Pentagon, on the order of 10-15 minutes. It's a nice area as well, that's convenient. Ballston, Clarendon, Court House, Seven Corners, Bailey's Crossroads, Pentagon City, and DC for shopping/restaurants are just a few minutes away. The neighborhood is pretty nice as well, mostly older houses (and just about all renovated), and would be perfectly safe. There are no pockets of high crime in the immediate vicinity.
