That's actually a pretty nice area. It's part of the "older" Lake Ridge, but it still stands up nicely. Anything off of Antietam is usually good to go. The only problems I have seen are in the "Oakwood" area of Old Bridge. Plus your kids (if you have them) should go to Antietam Elementary. That's an award winning school, very competent people there.

Depends on which side of Oakwood. "North of Oldbridge" Oakwood is made up of some really great homes, while the Oakwood on the WSHS side is not so great...

Prosecutors said Pinckney had already stolen two guns, family heirlooms kept in the master bedroom, and had loaded one before he spotted James Smith. In a written confession, Pinckney told police that he kicked something and woke Smith. He said he shot Smith "out of reaction." Prosecutors said the teenager was shot point-blank between the eyes.
As her son lay dying on the couch, Jean Smith, 39, a volunteer at the local elementary school and at Hylton High, arrived in her car, prosecutors said. Pinckney told police he ran outside but returned to fetch a jacket he had left behind. Jean Smith, who Pinckney feared would recognize him, had entered the house and was holding the phone to call for help when Pinckney shot her in the ear.
Pinckney left the house with the two weapons, a laptop, James Smith's cellphone, some ammunition and a blue bag, court papers say. The stolen items were worth less than $1,000....

That happened in Dale City. The people that died were really good, honest citizens who helped the community. The kid who killed them was a piece of garbage.

thank you all for giving out very helpful info about the area. Even though some opinions are subjective still we weighed them carefully and made our own decisions. The more I know about Lake Ridge the more I see it's a quiet and nice area. Of course nice and quiet to me could mean something else to others. Besides, We are living in an imperfect world so let's just take whatever we can get. I picked out this area almost randomly but it turned out to be one of my best decisions.
