Crown Point hopes for hotel soon

This focuses actually on the Beacon Hill development; however, Galleria Center is mentioned. I'm hoping something is developed soon!

Exclamation Update regarding 109th widening

Crown Point files suit over 109th Avenue land

This home is on a parcel where the plot of land is 1.5 acres...the home is 3454 sq ft...for the 2017 assessment, the home and this parcel were valued at $223,600.

CP made an offer to the owner for $256,000. Personally, I do think that taking into consideration the future use of the land, this is a huge undercut. Look at the land surrounding the home that has been sold and then compare the sales price to its assessed value at the time...tell me that the price paid wasn't based on the value for future use. I know dictating things on "future use" could be risky but I feel like why stop now when you only have this parcel left?

Everyone knows that 109th needs to be widened. From what I see and from what I have heard, the homeowner is most definitely willing to move but the price has to be right. When someone is being displaced from their forever home that they own, I think that enough money should be provided that they could replace the home on a similar plot of land in the same general area and the $256,000...even $356,000 would likely not be enough to do that in the area. I am NOT a real estate professional, but this just does not seem right to me.

Thoughts (especially from RE professionals)?
