Moving to Hawaii soon and interested in hearing recommendations for a family of 3. I will be working in downtown Honolulu and my better half does not drive. My kid is still young (4) so a good preschool nearby is key.
My recommendation is that you spend time reading the information posted here on relocation. Honestly, you won't even know the right questions to ask until you've done some homework. At the top of the page listing the threads, the first or second post is a Sticky post on relocation. Read that thoroughly. Then use the Search function to pull up info specific to your situation.
As Champion poi pounder AlohaHuey says, moving to Hawai'i is like moving to a different country, so there is a LOT to learn before you even find out how much there is to learn.
If you can, get a copy of So you Want to Live in Hawaii by Toni Polancy. It'll be the best money you've ever spent. Seriously!
Good Luck!!!
