Camping permits for Waikiki Beach

Yeah, the only places they can stop and lie down nowadays is on the beach or in the parks, assuming they don't have hoardes of junk with them and have a somewhat normal appearance. Oahu is following the model of mainland cities.

Sad part is after they round them up and process them..they cut them loose and they just find another place to lay around, because effectually they are still homeless.

Does anyone know the statistics as to the make up of the homeless population,
to wit, the length of time they have been on the Island, many locals, or people from the Mainland that never went back?

I guess I could/should look it up ...
