Best of luck
I would recommend looking at Mililani, Kapolei, and Ewa Beach. If you are buying, you will get the newer homes in Ewa and Kapolei.

Here is the BAH information to figure your Allowence on Oahu and all other states:
http://www.military.com/.../military...-allowance-for..

Miliani is a good place to live off base, good schools also. If you cannot find any housing in Miliani then Kopolei, and Eva Beach.
Traffic commute would be on kunia road. You would be going against the morning and evening commute won't be too bad except, when you get near Wheeler AFB and Schofield Barracks, then all bets are off. Here is a link to the weather and traffic traffic conditions on Kunia Rd: Local Weather with 5 Day Forecast and Road Conditions - LocalConditions.com › Local Weather & Traffic › Hawaii

Best of luck on your PCS Moves.
