Have been considering purchasing a new or newer Villa/Duplex in OTOW or Stone Creek. Just wondered if anybody out there has first hand experience with noise through common walls in these units. Or even other similar units. Any other pros/cons about maintenance-free duplexes would be appreciated. Thanks.

I live at on Top of the World and there is concrete block, insulation and drywall between each unit and as a unit owner, I have rarely heard any noise from my neighbor or complaints about noise from others. Some units even have foam insulation inside the concrete block that acts as a noise filter. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the news, as I will be renting one of those as of Nov 1st. Moving there from Louisiana. Single guy 62. Anyone know of a social group there for people in my age group?

I considering moving to OTOW in a single family as opposed to The Villas. Any suggestions

I rented a villa there and never heard a *peep* from the neighbors. Ever. I think the building quality is pretty high there, and I would definitely recommend renting or buying.

Just as I was leaving, there was a new active singles group being put together. The current one solely focuses on ladies going to lunch, which may or may not, be your cup of tea. It wasn't mine, that's for sure.

For the right person in the right stage of life, you can hardly do better than OTOW! If you're still working though, and need to get into town or on the highway, it's way the hell out there IMO. It added 25 minutes to my commute and that eventually wore me down.

I live in NW Ocala now.
